海兵第１２２戦闘攻撃中隊が部隊交代計画に基づき、サウスカロライナ州ビューフォート基地から岩国に３月１２日、到着した。

同中隊、通称「ウェアウォルヴス」の指揮官はデレック・M・ブラノン中佐。部隊はおよそ２００人の海兵隊員とF/A-18型ホーネット戦闘攻撃機およそ１０機で構成されている。

「ウェアウォルヴス」は、サウスカロライナ州ビューフォート基地へ帰還の海兵第２２４全天候戦闘攻撃中隊「ファイティング・ベンガルス」と交代する。

VMFA-122 arrives at MCAS Iwakuni

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan (Mar 15, 2016)

Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 122, stationed out of Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, S.C, arrived here March 12 as part of the Unit Deployment Program.

Lt. Col. Derek M. Brannon commands the "Werewolves," which consist of approximately 200 Marines and approximately 10 F/A-18 Hornet aircraft.

The Werewolves replace VMFA (AW) 224, the "Fighting Bengals," which returned to MCAS Beaufort.
