海兵第３１１攻撃中隊が部隊交代計画に基づき、８月２７日付で母基地であるアリゾナ州ユマ基地より岩国に到着した。

同中隊、通称「トムキャッツ」の指揮官はトビー・F・ムーア中佐。部隊はおよそ１５０人の海兵隊員とAV-8B型ハリアー攻撃機およそ６機で構成されている。

VMA-311 arrives at MCAS Iwakuni

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan (Sep. 18, 2015) –

Marine Attack Squadron 311, stationed out of Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Ariz., arrived here Aug. 27 as part of the Unit Deployment Program.

Lt. Col. Toby F. Moore commands the "Tomcats," which consists of approximately 150 Marines and approximately six AV-8B Harrier aircraft.
