米海兵隊岩国基地では、９月６日（土）午後９時３０分頃よりおよそ３０分間の打ち上げ花火を催します。正確な開始時間は、民間機の飛行運用次第で多少変更になる可能性があります。

打ち上げ花火は、基地内の毎年恒例のイベント、サマー・ミュージック・フェスティバルの一環で行われるもので、およそ３，５００発の花火が打ち上げられるほか、門前川をはさんだ基地の対岸より見ることができます。

岩国基地は、多くの日本の友人や隣人たちがこれまでも基地が催す打ち上げ花火を楽しんできたことを承知しております。この事前情報が、またひとつ、地元と分かち合える機会をお知らせする一助となればと願っています。

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan (Sep. 4, 2014)

Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni will host a 30-minute fireworks display at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6. The exact start time is subject to change slightly, depending on commercial flight operations.

The display, part of the annual Summer Music Festival, will include approximately 3,500 rounds of fireworks, and will be visible from the seawall across the Monzen River from the MCAS.

The air station is aware that many of our Japanese friends and neighbors have previously enjoyed fireworks hosted by the Station. We hope this advance notice will provide yet another such sharing opportunity.
