海兵第１１５戦闘攻撃中隊が、部隊交代計画に基づき、サウスカロライナ州ビューフォート基地より岩国に７月１１日、到着した。

同中隊「シルバー・イーグルス」の指揮官はランス・Ｇ・パトリック中佐。部隊は、海兵隊員およそ１７０人とF/A-18型ホーネット戦闘攻撃機およそ１０機で構成されている。

「シルバー・イーグルス」は、サウスカロライナ州ビューフォート基地へ帰還した海兵第２２４全天候戦闘攻撃中隊と交代した。　

VMFA-115 arrives at MCAS Iwakuni

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan – (July 18, 2014) 

Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 115, stationed out of Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, S.C., arrived here July 11, 2014 as part of the Unit Deployment Program.

Lt. Col. Lance G. Patrick commands the "Silver Eagles," which consists of approximately 170 Marines and approximately 10 F/A-18 Hornet aircraft.

The Silver Eagles replaced Marine All-Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 224, which returned to MCAS Beaufort, S.C.
