恒例の日米親善デーが５月５日、岩国基地で開催されます。これまで同様、基地報道部では親善デー当日午前１０時より始まるイベントを前に、報道機関をお招きし、航空機の地上展示など早朝撮影の機会を設けます。

５月５日は交通渋滞が予想されるため、個人所有の車の乗り入れは禁止されています。また自転車は正門経由でなければ入場できません。

早朝取材の集合時間は岩国基地【門前ゲート】に午前８時３０分です。身分証をお忘れなくご持参ください。早朝取材の申し込みは４月２８日（月）正午を期限とさせていただきます。添付の「２０１４年日米親善デーにおける報道ルール（PDF / MS Word）」に氏名、住所、生年月日をご記入の上、署名してファクシミリ（０８２７）７９－５５５４宛てお申し込み下さい。またファクシミリ送信の後、事前取材登録の確認のお電話を必ずお願いいたします。

一般来場者同様イベント開始以降に来場し取材を希望する報道機関は、お手数ですが添付の地図を参照の上、取材開始前にメディア・テントへ直接登録にお越しください。テントにてメディア・バッジを発行するほか、最新情報を提供しております。また、取材終了後にはメディア・バッジを回収致しますので 基地から出る前に再度テントへお越しください。ご協力よろしくお願い申し上げます。

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan (Apr. 22, 2014)

MCAS Iwakuni will hold its annual Friendship Day here May 5. As in the past, the MCAS Iwakuni Public Affairs Office will host a media opportunity for representatives who wish to visit the day’s attractions prior to the event starting at 10 a.m.

Due to the heavy vehicular traffic anticipated on May 5, privately-owned vehicles are prohibited. Also, all bicycle traffic must enter through the main gate.

PAO will meet the media representatives at 8:30 a.m. at the Monzen gate. Be advised not to forget to have your I.D. with you. Deadline for registration for the early morning media opportunity is April 28 at noon. Please confirm your registration with a follow-up phone call. A signed Friendship Day Media Ground Rules (PDF / MS Word) sheet must be attached for each person attending.

If you wish to visit the event later in the day, please check-in at the media tent, which is referenced in the attachment. When you visit the media tent, we will issue you a media badge as well as provide you the most updated event information. Please de-register with the media tent and turn in your badge when you are ready to leave the air station.  Thank you for your cooperation.
