海兵第２２４全天候戦闘攻撃中隊が部隊交代計画に基づきサウスカロライナ州ビューフォート基地から岩国に２月１１日到着した。

同中隊「ベンガルス」はレイモンド・P・エアレス3世中佐が指揮を執り、およそ２００人の海兵隊員とF/A-18型ホーネット戦闘攻撃機およそ１０機で構成されている。

「ベンガルス」はテキサス州フォートワース海軍航空基地統合予備役施設へ帰還した、海兵第１１２戦闘攻撃中隊、通称「カウボーイズ」と交代した。　

VMFA(AW)-224 arrives at MCAS Iwakuni

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan (Feb 12, 2014)

Marine All-Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 224 arrived here Feb. 11 from Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, S.C., as part of the Unit Deployment Program.

Lt. Col. Raymond P. Ayres III commands the "Bengals," which consists of approximately 200 Marines and approximately 10 F/A-18 Hornet aircraft.

The Bengals replaced Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 112, which returned to Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Ft. Worth, Texas.
