毎年恒例の日米親善デーが５月５日、岩国基地で開催されます。これまで同様、基地報道部では親善デー当日午前８時のイベント開始より前に報道機関をお招きし、飛行機の地上展示など早朝撮影の機会を設けます。集合後、隊員食堂に移動、朝食（実費負担＄５．２０）となります。

５月５日当日は交通渋滞が予想されるため、車輌での入門はご遠慮ください。

早朝取材の集合時間は岩国基地【門前ゲート】に午前６時です。身分証をお忘れなくご持参ください。５月５日の早朝取材の申し込みは４月２４日（火）正午までとさせていただきます。添付の「２０１２年日米親善デーにおける報道ルール」(Word PDF)に氏名、住所、生年月日をご記入の上、署名してファクシミリ（０８２７）７９－５５５４宛てお申し込み下さい。またファクシミリ送信の後、確認のお電話をお願いいたします。

一般来場者同様イベント開始以降に来場し取材を希望する報道機関は、お手数ですが添付の地図を参照の上、取材開始前にメディア・テントへ登録にお越しください。テントにてメディア・バッジを発行しております。また、取材終了後にはメディア・バッジを回収致しますので 基地から出る前に再度テントへお越しください。ご協力よろしくお願い申し上げます。

Media Opportunity (2012 Friendship Day, #3)

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan (April 19, 2012)

MCAS Iwakuni will hold its annual Friendship Day here May 5.  As in the past, the MCAS Iwakuni Public Affairs Office will host a media opportunity for representatives who wish to visit the day’s attractions prior to the event starting at 8 a.m.  Media representatives will also be invited to join breakfast at the southside messhall($5.20).   

Due to heavy vehicular traffic anticipated on May 5, please visit the air station without driving. 

PAO will meet the media representatives at 6 a.m. at the Monzen gate.  Be advised not to forget your I.D. with you. Deadline for registration for the early morning media opportunity is April 24 at noon. A follow-up phone call is requested to confirm registration. A signed Friendship Day media ground rule sheet (Word PDF) must be attached for each person attending for registration.

If media representatives wish to visit the event later in the day, please come by the media tent as indicated in the attachment.  When you visit the media tent, we will issue you a media badge. Please de-register with the media tent when you are ready to leave the air station.  Thank you for your cooperation.
