海兵第２２５全天候戦闘攻撃中隊が部隊交代計画に基づきカリフォルニア州ミラマー基地から岩国に８月４日到着した。

同中隊「ヴァイキングス」の指揮官はジャック・G・ボルトン中佐。およそ１９０人の海兵隊員とF/A-18型ホーネット戦闘攻撃機およそ１０機で構成されている。

「ヴァイキングス」は、カリフォルニア州ミラマー基地へ帰還した海兵第１２１全天候戦闘攻撃中隊と交代した。

Marine All Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 225 arrived here Aug. 4 from Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., as part of the Unit Deployment Program.

Lt. Col. Jack G. Bolton commands the "Vikings," which consists of approximately 190 Marines and approximately 10 F/A-18 Hornet aircraft.

The Vikings replaced Marine All Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 121, which returned to MCAS Miramar, Calif.
