１２月４日（火）午後６時３０分から、ペリー・ハイスクール（中高）の生徒によるホリデーコンサートが基地内のチャペルで予定されています。

このコンサートは「冬のエクストラバガンザ」と銘打ち、ペリー・ハイスクール　バンドによるジャズ・アンサンブルをはじめ、コーラス、ワールド･ドラム・アンサンブルが競演します。

また、このイベントには岩国市立麻里布中学校吹奏楽部ならびに周防大島町立和田小学校の生徒さんが特別ゲストとして招かれており、コンサートのあと生徒全員がクッキーや飲み物を飲みながら交流します。同２校は２０１３年３月にシンフォニア岩国での日米親善コンサートの参加予定校で、大竹市立大竹中学校、岩国市立川下小学校、ペリー小学校も３回目となる中国四国防衛局主催の日米親善コンサートに出演の予定です。

M. C. Perry High School Winter Extravaganza

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan (November 30, 2012)

M.C. Perry High School music students are scheduled to perform in a holiday concert starting at 6:30 p.m. at the station chapel on Dec. 4.

The event, titled "A Winter Extravaganza!" will feature the  M.C. Perry High School Band, performing in a jazz ensemble and other forms of band formations,  such as chorus, and a world drum ensemble.

Iwakuni Municipal Marifu Junior High School’s Brass Band students, as well as children from Suoh-Oshima Municipal Wada Elementary School, will be special guests at the event.  The students will have a social exchange following the concert. Iwakuni Municipal Marifu Junior High School and Suoh-Oshima Municipal Wada Elementary School are scheduled to participate in U.S.-Japan Friendship Concert at Sinfonia Iwakuni in March 2013.  Otake Municipal Otake Junior High School, Iwakuni Municipal Kawashimo Elementary School and M.C. Perry Elementary School will also perform in the third annual U.S.-Japan Friendship Concert hosted by Chugoku-Shikoku Defense Bureau.
