クリスマス本番も間近に迫り、ホリデーの季節の到来がそこかしこでみられるこの時期、基地内の部隊、家族、また個人がクリスマスの雰囲気を盛り上げ、通りを埋め尽くす時がやってきました。

岩国基地報道部では、海兵隊コミュニティーサービス部主催のジングル・ベル・ジョギングの取材の機会を１２月２１日（金）午前１１時頃から開きます。毎年催されるこの人気のあるイベントは、基地内のメンバーがクリスマスにちなんだ衣装を身にまとい、靴にベルを装着して、基地内のコース１．５キロを楽しく走ります。ジョギングの後には、ライブバンドやゲーム、そのほかサンタクロースと一緒に楽しむ娯楽がたくさん用意されています。

MCAS Iwakuni 2012 Jingle Bell Jog

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan (December 11, 2012)

Christmas is just around the corner, and with the holiday season all around, it is a time the streets aboard the installation will be filled with the sound of holiday cheer by units, families and individuals.

MCAS Iwakuni Public Affairs Office will host a media opportunity for the Marine Corps Community Service’s Jingle Bell Jog on Friday, Dec. 21, at around 11 a.m.  Held annually, this popular event consists of a 1.5 kilometer fun run with the air station members joining together in their best Christmas costume and receive a jingle bell to attach to their shoe during the run. A holiday party with a live band, stage games, and much more entertainment with Santa Claus to be followed after the run.
