米海兵隊岩国航空基地は、２０１３年５月５日に日米親善デーを開催予定であることをここに喜びとともにお知らせする。

詳細については計画中および調整中につき、整い次第発表される。より多くの情報を盛り込んだ報道機関向けのお知らせが後日出される予定のほか、記者会見が３月あるいは４月に少なくとも１度は開かれる予定。

岩国というより大きなコミュニティーの一員として、基地を受け入れてくださっている日本の皆様に基地のゲートを開放しアメリカの文化を分かち合う恒例行事を継続できることは、基地にとっても喜びである。岩国市内最大規模のイベントとして、岩国基地の親善デーはこれまで多数の来場者を基地の中にお招きし、航空ショー、地上展示および家族向けのイベントをお楽しみいただいている。航空ショーの特別観覧席のチケット販売は３月１０日より、チケットぴあにて購入できる。

Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni takes pleasure to announce the U.S.-Japan Friendship Day has been scheduled for May 5, 2013.

Details will be released as planning and coordination continues. Media advisories with amplifying information are planned for a later date, with at least one press conference planned in March or April.

As part of the larger community of Iwakuni, it has been our pleasure to continue the tradition to open the gates for people in our host nation and share our culture. One of the largest community events in Iwakuni City, MCAS Iwakuni's annual Friendship Day, traditionally invites hundreds of thousands of visitors aboard the air station to enjoy an air show, static displays and family activities. Air Show bleacher seat tickets for the event will go on sale Mar. 10 and can be purchased at Ticket Pia.  Media representatives are requested to hold all queries on Friendship Day 2013 pending subsequent media advisories planned.
