海兵第２３２戦闘攻撃中隊が、部隊交代計画に基づき　カリフォルニア州ミラマー基地から岩国に９月１６日到着した。

同中隊、通称「レッド・デビルス」の指揮官はバイロン・D・サリバン中佐。部隊はおよそ１９０人の海兵隊員とF/A-18型ホーネット戦闘攻撃機およそ１０機で構成されている。

「レッド・デビルス」は、サウスカロライナ州ビューフォート基地へ帰還した海兵第５３３全天候戦闘攻撃中隊と交代になる。

VMFA-232 arrives at MCAS Iwakuni

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan (September 24, 2013)

Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 232 arrived here Sept. 16 from Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., as part of the Unit Deployment Program.

Lt. Col. Byron D. Sullivan commands the "Red Devils," which consists of approximately 190 Marines and approximately 10 F/A-18 Hornet aircraft.

The Red Devils replaces Marine All Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 533, which returned to MCAS Beaufort, S.C.
