米海兵隊岩国航空基地は４月１１日（木）午後に、アメリカ軍の人員と日本人従業員が日米で協力して実施する岩国基地での献血を取材する機会を設けます。

山口県赤十字血液センターの献血車は長くにわたり年に２度、春と秋に一回ずつ基地を訪問してきており、２０１７年にアメリカ赤十字社の協力のもと献血を日米で協同して行うことになりました。コロナ禍で一時的に中断されていましたが、この度、４年半ぶりに日米の人員がともに参加する献血が岩国基地で復活します。

MCAS Iwakuni Media Advisory - Bilateral Blood Drive

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan (Mar. 25, 2024)

Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni will host a media opportunity aboard the air station in the afternoon of Thursday, April 11, to cover the bilateral MCAS Iwakuni Blood Drive, which will involve both the Japanese workforce and U.S. personnel.

The Japan Red Cross Yamaguchi Blood Center blood donation bus, for years, has visited the air station twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall. The drive became a bilateral effort in 2017 with the American Red Cross. The COVID-19 pandemic had paused this and the bilateral Blood Drive will come back to MCAS Iwakuni for the first time in four and half years this time.
