岩国基地にてこれまでの２４時間内に、外出制限措置下にあった１名が新型コロナウイルス検査で陽性と判明しました。

厳しく徹底している外出制限措置により、ウイルス感染が拡大する可能性は引き続き低い状況です。

陽性の事例が確認されると、基地は積極的に行動履歴を追跡し、濃厚接触者の全員に対し、連絡、検査、また必要に応じ隔離を行っています。濃厚接触者の検査によりさらに陽性の事例が見つかる可能性があります。

基地内の医療当局は基地の外の保健当局に対し、本件に関連する追跡調査で得られた内容について今後とも情報を提供していきます。

陽性との検査結果を受けた全員が、海軍の医療当局が定める指針に基づき回復したとの判断がなされるまで、隔離下に置かれます。

Update COVID-19

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan (August 24, 2021) –

Within the last 24 hours, one (1) individual at MCAS Iwakuni has tested positive for COVID-19 while in a restriction of movement status.

The likelihood of further spread of the virus remains low due to strict adherence to restriction of movement procedures.

Upon detection of any positive case, MCAS Iwakuni conducts aggressive contact tracing and will contact, test, and appropriately quarantine all close contacts. Testing of close contacts may result in the identification of additional positive cases.

On-base medical authorities continue to work closely with off-base health authorities concerning relevant contact trace findings.

All individuals who receive positive tests results will remain in isolation status until classified as recovered in accordance with Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery guidance.
