岩国基地にてこれまでの２４時間内に、新型コロナウイルス検査で６名が陽性と判明しました。

陽性の事例が判明するたびにその都度、岩国基地は積極的に行動履歴を追跡し、濃厚接触者の全員に対し、連絡、隔離、検査を行っています。基地内の医療当局は基地の外の保健当局に対し、本件に関連する追跡調査で得られた内容について今後とも情報を提供していきます。

厳しく徹底している適切な衛生管理、対人距離（ソーシャル・ディスタンス）の確保、外出制限措置により、ウイルス感染が拡大する可能性は引き続き低い状況です。

陽性との検査結果を受けた全員が、海軍の医療当局が定める指針に基づき回復したとの判断がなされるまで、隔離下に置かれます。

COVID-19 Update

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan (Dec. 29, 2020) –

Within the last 24 hours, six (6) individuals at MCAS Iwakuni have tested positive for COVID-19.

Anytime a positive case is detected, MCAS Iwakuni conducts aggressive contact tracing and will contact, quarantine, and test all close contacts. On-base medical authorities continue to work closely with off-base health authorities concerning relevant contact trace findings.

The likelihood of further spread of the virus remains low due to strict adherence to appropriate hygiene, social distancing, and restriction of movement procedures.

All individuals who receive positive tests results will remain in isolation status until classified as recovered in accordance with Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery guidance.
