岩国基地にてこれまでの２４時間以内に、１名が新型コロナウイルス検査で陽性と判明しました。

この人物はすでに特定されている陽性の事例の濃厚接触者で、濃厚接触者と特定されて以降は外出制限期間に入っていました。厳しく徹底している外出制限措置により、ウイルス感染が拡大する可能性は引き続き低い状況です。

特定された濃厚接触者全員がすでに隔離措置に移されており、これから新型コロナウイルス検査を受けます。

基地内の医療当局は基地の外の保健当局に対し、本件に関連する追跡調査で得られた内容について今後とも情報を提供していきます。

検査結果が陽性であった者は全員が、海軍の医療当局が定める指針に基づき回復したとの判断がなされるまで、隔離下に置かれます。

Update COVID-19

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan (Dec. 20, 2020) –

Within the last 24 hours, one (1) individual at MCAS Iwakuni has tested positive for COVID-19.

This individual was a close contact of an identified positive case and has been in a restriction of movement period since being identified. The likelihood of further spread of the virus remains low due to strict adherence to restriction of movement procedures.

All identified close contacts have been quarantined at this time and will be tested for COVID-19.

On-base medical authorities will continue to provide information to off-base health authorities concerning relevant contact trace findings.

All individuals who receive positive tests results will remain in isolation status until classified as recovered in accordance with Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery guidance.
