岩国基地にてこれまでの２４時間以内に、３名が新型コロナウイルス検査で陽性と判明しました。この３名は新たに基地に到着した者ではなく、外出制限下にはありませんでした。

この３名はすでに隔離措置に移されており、３名についての行動履歴や接触先の追跡調査は完了しています。濃厚接触者として特定された全員も現時点で隔離されており、新型コロナウイルスの検査を受ける予定です。

基地内の医療当局は基地の外の保健当局に対し、本件に関連する追跡調査で得られた内容について今後とも情報を提供していきます。

検査結果が陽性であった者は全員が、海軍の医療当局が定める指針に基づき回復したとの判断がなされるまで、隔離下に置かれます。

COVID-19 Update

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan (Dec. 18, 2020) –

Within the last 24 hours, three (3) individuals at MCAS Iwakuni have tested positive for COVID-19. These individuals were not new arrivals to the air station and were not in a restriction of movement status.

Those who tested positive have been moved into isolation and contact tracing for these cases is complete. All identified close contacts have been quarantined at this time and will be tested for COVID-19.

On-base medical authorities will continue to provide information to off-base health authorities concerning relevant contact trace findings.

All individuals who receive positive tests results will remain in isolation status until classified as recovered in accordance with Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery guidance.
