岩国基地にてこれまでの２４時間以内に１名が、外出制限措置下に置かれている間に症状が出たのち新型コロナウイルス検査で陽性と判明しました。

この人物は１１月１０日に特定された陽性の事例の濃厚接触者で、接触があって以降は外出制限期間に入っていました。厳しく徹底している外出制限措置により、ウイルス感染が拡大する可能性は引き続き低い状況です。

陽性との検査結果を受けた全員が、海軍の医療当局が定める指針に基づき回復したとの判断がなされるまで、隔離下に置かれます。

COVID-19 Update

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan (Nov. 19, 2020) –

Within the last 24 hours, one (1) individual at MCAS Iwakuni has tested positive for COVID-19 after developing symptoms while in a restriction of movement status.

This individual was a close contact of an identified positive case on Nov. 10 and has been in a restriction of movement period since exposure. The likelihood of further spread of the virus remains low due to strict adherence to restriction of movement procedures.

All individuals who receive positive tests results will remain in isolation status until classified as recovered in accordance with Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery guidance.
