外出制限措置の解除を前に課される新型コロナウイルス検査で、これまでの２４時間内に岩国基地で１名が陽性と判明しました。

この人物はアメリカ軍手配の航空機で岩国基地に直接到着しており、在日米軍の方針に基づき、ただちに定められた外出制限期間に入っていました。

本件の濃厚接触者全員が適切に特定され、隔離されています。 １１月９日及び１０日に発表された複数の陽性事例の周辺の人物を対象に行った大規模な検査は結果が出るのを待っています。

基地内の医療当局は基地の外の保健当局に対し、本件に関連する追跡調査で得られた内容について今後とも情報を提供していきます。

陽性との検査結果を受けた全員が、海軍の医療当局が定める指針に基づき回復したとの判断がなされるまで、隔離下に置かれます。

COVID-19 Update

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan (Nov. 11, 2020) –

Within the last 24 hours, one (1) individual at MCAS Iwakuni has tested positive for COVID-19 following restriction of movement exit testing.

This individual arrived directly to MCAS Iwakuni via a military-coordinated flight and, in accordance with USFJ policy, immediately entered into a restriction of movement period.

All close contacts for this case have been appropriately identified and quarantined.

Results from the large-scale testing of those in proximity to the positive cases announced on Nov. 9 and 10 are pending.

On-base medical authorities will continue to provide information to off-base health authorities concerning relevant contact trace findings.

All individuals who receive positive tests results will remain in isolation status until classified as recovered in accordance with Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery guidance.
