【仮訳】岩国基地で、現在進行形の新型コロナウイルスの感染例は２件となりました。新たに１件が昨夜８月２０日、陽性と確認されました。これは外出制限措置の解除を前に受ける検査で判明したものです。この人物は、８月６日に軍チャーター機のパトリオットエクスプレスで岩国基地に到着し、在日米軍の方針に基づき、ただちに外出制限下に置かれました。到着以降に濃厚接触に至った人物はなく、軽症であり、ウイルス感染が拡大する可能性は低い状況です。この人物は海軍の医療当局が定める指針に基づき、さらに追加で最短でも１４日間、かつ無症状になってから最短でも２４時間は隔離下に置かれます。

COVID-19 Update

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan (Aug. 21, 2020) 

MCAS Iwakuni is now at two active cases of COVID-19. One additional case was confirmed positive last night, August 20, following restriction of movement exit testing. That individual arrived to MCAS Iwakuni on August 6 aboard the Patriot Express and, in accordance with USFJ policy, was immediately placed into restriction of movement. They have not come into close contact with anyone since their arrival, have mild symptoms of the virus, and present a low likelihood of further spread of the virus. The individual will remain in isolation status for an additional 14 days at a minimum and for no less than 24-hours after resolution of their symptoms in accordance with Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery guidance.
