【仮訳】岩国基地は、新型コロナウイルスが基地内に存在していると日本の外務省から通知を受けました。該当する複数名が、羽田空港への到着時にウイルス検査を受けており、きょう午前錦帯橋空港に到着、ただちに外出制限措置に入り、その後住居から外には出ていません。この人物らが基地内で立ち寄るなどした場所の追跡や消毒を現在実施しており、岩国周辺ならびに山口県内の健康と安全を守るため対処しているところです。

MCAS Iwakuni confirms the presence of COVID-19 aboard the air station

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan (Jul. 13, 2020) –

The MCAS Iwakuni community has been informed of the presence of COVID-19 aboard the air station by the Japan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The positive individuals were tested for the virus upon arrival to Haneda Airport and arrived to Kintaikyo Airport this morning, where they immediately went into restriction of movement and have not left their residence since going inside. Follow-on tracing and cleaning measures for areas on the base that the individuals have come in contact with is presently ongoing in order to preserve the health and safety of the Iwakuni community and Yamaguchi Prefecture.
