第４２回海上自衛隊/米海兵隊岩国航空基地フレンドシップデーが、５月５日（土）に開催を控え、いよいよ近づいてまいりました。岩国基地報道部では、確固とした報道機関と認められ取材を許可された報道関係者に対し、この文化的な視野を広げ豊かな経験をもたらす日米共催イベントの取材の機会を次のように設けます。

岩国基地報道部は、事前に登録を済ませ取材が許可された報道関係者を、門前ゲートにて午前５時に基地内へお迎えします。基地内へ立ち入りされる報道関係者は全員、有効な顔写真つきの身分証に加え、報道関係者であることを示す腕章やそのほか証明できるものを提示できるようご準備ください。すべての報道関係者の登録は、４月２７日（金）午前８時で締め切ります。報道関係者の登録は、添付のフレンドシップデーにおける取材ルールに署名を添え、電子メールでの送付後、メールが確実に基地に届いたかどうかを確認する電話をしてお申し込みください。取材者は、基地内取材に午前５時集合で門前ゲートからお入りになる方も、日中のイベント途中から基地内へ入る予定の方も、取材の可能性やご予定があれば、どなたも全員、それぞれの個人の分の 署名入りの取材ルール提出をもって、事前登録が必要です。締め切り期日までに事前登録を済ませ、基地報道部より取材の許可が下り、署名入りの取材ルールとそのほか要求された下記の情報の提出を済ませた報道関係者のみ、フレンドシップデー取材の報道バッジを受け取ることができ、メディアテントや航空ショーを最前列で取材できる報道取材者限定エリアへの立ち入りをすることができます。

日中のイベント途中から基地内へ入り、フレンドシップデーの取材を希望される報道関係者は、事前登録の上、添付の地図を参考にメディアテントまで直接お越しください。事前登録と、当日にメディアテントへお越しいただくことで、上記同様の取材の機会を得ることができます。事前登録を済ませ取材を許可された報道関係者には、メディアテントで報道バッジが交付されます。その際、進行中のイベントやそのほか取材の機会の最新情報を受け取ることができるほか、航空ショーを最前列で取材できる報道取材者限定エリアへの立ち入りができるようになります。取材者状況の把握のため、取材を終えて基地から出られる前に、報道バッチはメディアテントにてご返却ください。岩国基地報道部は、ニュース報道や取材目的のため特別に設けられたアクセスやそのほかの便宜を、取材者とは認められない方に提供を拒否する権限を有します。

フレンドシップデーの早朝取材、またメディアテントで得られる報道関係者向けの取材対応を希望する報道機関は、岩国基地報道部（iwakuni.pao@usmc.mil）へ４月２７日（金）午前８時までに電子メールにてお申し込みください。申し込みの際には、取材で立ち入る報道関係者全員の氏名（フルネームをローマ字表記と漢字で）、報道機関名、携帯電話番号、現住所に西暦の生年月日に加え、署名した取材ルールを添えてください。取材を希望する報道機関で岩国基地内での取材の機会に過去６か月間出席のない媒体は、その媒体が報道、メディア機関である証明と、その媒体と取材者としての立場を明確に示す文書や資料もあわせて必ずご提出ください。また、電子メールでのお申し込みの後、基地報道部（電話：0827-79-5551）へ電話にてメールが確実に基地に届いたかどうかをご確認ください。

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan (Apr 20, 2018) –

The 42nd annual JMSDF/MCAS Iwakuni Friendship Day, which is scheduled to be on Saturday, May 5 is fast approaching. MCAS Iwakuni Communication Strategy and Operations will be hosting a media opportunity for legitimate and accredited media representatives who wish to visit and cover this culturally enriching, bilateral event.

Communication Strategy and Operations will meet pre-registered and approved media representatives at 5:00 a.m. at the Monzen Gate. All media representatives should be prepared to present a valid photo I.D. AND media credentials. The deadline for registration is 8:00 a.m., Friday, April 27. Please confirm your registration by submitting a signed MCAS Iwakuni Friendship Day Media Ground Rules sheet, followed by a phone call to confirm receipt. A signed Media Ground Rules sheet must be submitted for each person attending or wishing to attend, whether arriving at the Monzen Gate at 5:00 a.m. for the pre-airshow media opportunity or later in the day. Only those media representatives who have completed pre-registration, been approved by MCAS Iwakuni Communication Strategy and Operations and have submitted the signed Media Ground Rules sheet and all other required information below, by the registration deadline, will receive media credentials and be granted access to the media tent and show-front media maneuver area.

If you only wish to join Friendship Day later in the day, please still check in at the media tent, as referenced in the attachment. Doing so will open opportunities to you. Pre-registered and approved media personnel will be issued a media badge, provided the most updated event information and coverage opportunities, and access to the show-front media area. For accountability purposes, please de-register at the media tent and turn in your badge prior to departing the air station. MCAS Iwakuni Communication Strategy and Operations reserves the right to deny media-specific access/offerings to non-media personnel.

Media interested in Friendship Day pre-show access and media tent privileges should sign up by sending an email to MCAS Iwakuni Communication Strategy and Operations (iwakuni.pao@usmc.mil) not later than 8:00 a.m., Friday, April 27. Please include your full name, media agency, cell phone number, current address, date of birth and signed Media Ground Rules sheet. Interested media who have not attended a media event at MCAS Iwakuni within the past six months must submit source documentation providing proof of legitimate media employment and credentials. A follow-up phone call to 0827-79-5551 is required in order to confirm our receipt of your email submission.
