米海兵隊岩国航空基地は３月６日（火）午前中、アメリカ軍の人員と日本人従業員が日米で協力して実施する第３回岩国基地献血を取材できる機会を設けます。

山口県赤十字血液センターの献血車はこれまでの長い間、年に２度、３月と８月に基地内を訪問してきました。この献血運動を実施する中で担当者は調整を重ね、何か新しいことをと想像力をはたらかせ、２０１７年より献血運動を日米二国間で協同して行うことになりました。次回の献血は３月６日（火）午前１０時から午後４時までを予定しています。

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan (Mar. 2, 2018) –

Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni will host a press event aboard the air station in the morning on Tuesday, Mar 6, to cover the third bilateral MCAS Iwakuni Blood Drive, which will involve both Japanese workforce and U.S. personnel.

The Japan Red Cross Yamaguchi Blood Center blood donation bus has long visited the air station twice a year, in March and August. Through much coordination and creativity leading up to bi-annual blood drive, organizers decided to transform the drive into a bilateral effort since 2017. The next blood drive is scheduled Tuesday, Mar 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.
