5月3日に米海兵隊岩国航空基地において実施されたファミリーデー25で、第169海兵隊軽攻撃ヘリコプター中隊（HMLA-169）所属のAH-1Zヴァイパーを見ている第一海兵航空団（1st MAW）第36海兵飛行大隊（MAG-36） HMLA-169のヘリコプター整備士、ジョーディ・レイエスモラ二等軍曹。航空ショーのリハーサル中に行われたファミリーデーには、岩国基地の日米コミュニティメンバーとその家族、地元の児童養護施設の子どもたち、また特別な支援を必要とする人々が参加し、小規模なフレンドシップデーを体験した。フレンドシップデーは日米同盟の強さを象徴するイベントである（写真：ミゲル・ロザリス一等軍曹）。
