米海兵隊岩国航空基地 - 7月27日、米海兵隊岩国航空基地所属の隊員用住居について、米海兵隊太平洋基地と米海兵隊岩国航空基地の指導者に向けて話す在日米軍司令のリッキー・ラップ米空軍中将。ラップ米空軍中将は、米海兵隊太平洋基地 (MCIPAC) 司令のスティーブン・リズウスキー海兵隊少将と岩国基地を訪問し、基地内隊員の生活の質（クオリティ・オブ・ライフ）について理解を深めるとともに、日米同盟の強化について日本の関係者と意見交換した。（写真：レイモンド・トン伍長）
