米海兵隊岩国航空基地 - 米海兵隊岩国航空基地で3月6日に行われたウィリアム・ペンドルトン・トンプソン（W.P.T.）ヒル競技会で、乾燥保存食品の棚卸を行う米海兵隊基地コマンド、フードサービス部担当官のデビッド・ハンレー中佐。W.P.T.ヒル競技大会は、海兵隊の給食業務における卓越したリーダーシップ、調理技術、海兵隊員の生活の質を高めるための献身的な活動を紹介し、優れた業績を表彰することを目的としている。この大会では最も優れた成績を収めた隊員食堂が決定され、年間最優秀米海兵隊員食堂のタイトルとW.P.T.ヒル少将賞が授与される。（写真：レイモンド・トン伍長）
