米海兵隊岩国航空基地 - 11月15日、米海兵隊岩国航空基地で実施されている基地警護訓練「アクティブシールド」で、模擬ミサイル攻撃による破片を記録する、岩国基地司令部司令中隊、爆発物処理技術者のアレン・グリフィス三等軍曹。アクティブシールドは自衛隊と毎年実施している二国間の基地警護訓練で、岩国基地が有事対応手順を整えておくためのものである。（写真：デイビッド・ゲッツ兵長）
