A Japanese staff member shows an American child how to play Kendama, a popular Japanese game, at the U.S.-Japan joint calligraphy event, “Kakizome,” at Waki Town, Japan, Jan. 6, 2018. During the event, participants played traditional Japanese games like takoage and fukuwarai before being served Yakisoba and Zenzai.
