Paula Smedes, a program assistant with the Youth and Teen Center at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, helps her daughter, Rhianna Smedes, walk on bamboo stilts during Cultural Day in Tsuzu, Dec. 12, 2015. During this cultural exchange visitors participated in a variety of activities such as mochi pounding, making wooden flutes, and walking on bamboo stilts, building friendships between the people of both cultures.
