海兵第２２５全天候戦闘攻撃中隊が部隊交代計画に基づき、カリフォルニア州ミラマー基地から岩国に３月１１日に到着した。

同中隊、通称「バイキングス」の指揮官はエリカ・ボウマー中佐。部隊はおよそ１５０人の海兵隊員とF/A-18型ホーネット戦闘攻撃機およそ１０機で構成されている。

「バイキングス」は、サウスカロライナ州ビューフォート基地へ帰還した海兵第５３３全天候戦闘攻撃中隊と交代した。　

VMFA(AW)-225 arrives at MCAS Iwakuni

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan (Mar 18, 2015)

Marine All-Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 225, stationed out of Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., arrived here March 11, 2015 as part of the Unit Deployment Program.

Lt. Col. Elika Bowmer commands the "Vikings," which consists of approximately 150 Marines and approximately 10 F/A-18 Hornet aircraft.

The Vikings replaced VMFA(AW)-533, which returned to MCAS Beaufort, S.C.
