岩国基地にて３月２日までに、新型コロナウイルス検査で１１名が陽性と判明しました。

陽性の事例が確認されると、基地は積極的に行動履歴を追跡し、濃厚接触者の全員に対し、連絡、検査、また必要に応じ隔離を行っています。濃厚接触者の検査によりさらに陽性の事例が見つかる可能性があります。

陽性との検査結果を受けた全員が、海軍の医療当局が定める指針に基づき回復したとの判断がなされるまで、隔離下に置かれます。

アメリカ軍人をはじめ、民間人、家族、また地元コミュニティの皆様の安全を確保することは基地にとって最重要事項であり、新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大を防止するため必要な予防措置を現在講じております。基地は状況に応じ、今後とも継続して新型コロナウイルスに対する方針や手続きの更新をはかってまいります。

COVID-19 Update

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan (March 3, 2022) –

On Mar. 2, eleven (11) individuals at MCAS Iwakuni tested positive for COVID-19.

Upon detection of any positive case, MCAS Iwakuni conducts aggressive contact tracing and will contact, test, and appropriately quarantine all close contacts. Testing of close contacts may result in the identification of additional positive cases.

All individuals who receive positive tests results will remain in isolation status until classified as recovered in accordance with Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery guidance.

The safety of our service members, civilians, families and the local community is of the utmost importance to us, and we are taking the necessary precautions to prevent the further spread of COVID-19. We will continuously update our policies and procedures as the situation warrants.
