米海兵隊岩国航空基地 -- 第２３２海兵戦闘攻撃中隊が、部隊交代計画に基づき母基地であるカリフォルニア州ミラマー基地より３月１５日、岩国に到着した。
同中隊、通称「レッド・デビルス」の指揮官はダグラス・R・ミラー中佐。部隊はおよそ１９０人の海兵隊員とF/A-18C型ホーネット戦闘攻撃機およそ１０機で構成されている。
「レッド・デビルス」は、カリフォルニア州ミラマー基地へ帰還した第２２５海兵全天候戦闘攻撃中隊「バイキングス」と交代する。
VMFA-232 arrives at MCAS Iwakuni
MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan (March 16, 2017) –
Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 232, stationed out of Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, California, arrived here March 15 as part of the Unit Deployment Program.
Lt. Col. Douglas R. Miller commands the "Red Devils," which consists of approximately 190 Marines and approximately 10 F/A-18C Hornet aircraft.
The “Red Devils” replace VMFA(AW)-225, the “Vikings,” which returned to MCAS Miramar.
